Fred Roedl has 40+ years of experience in all aspects of business-to-business marketing, both as a practitioner and an academic. Prior to joining the Kelley School of Business, Fred’s professional career spanned more than 25 years in senior marketing and sales management leadership positions with three large, multi-national B2B focused corporations. These corporations focused in the mining, construction, aero-space and petroleum industries. Fred has broad based practical experience in marketing, strategic planning, market research, field sales, customer service and operations.
In 2004, Fred transitioned to higher education and became an accomplished professor. His teaching focus included Business Marketing (B2B) Strategy & Management, Marketing Management and Strategy in the Life Sciences Industry and Marketing in a Global Environment. Fred has taught extensively in Kelley’s MBA and Executive Education Programs, both in-residence and on-line. He has also traveled internationally and taught in Executive MBA Programs in Korea and Croatia and is a Visiting Professor at Steinbeis University in Berlin, Germany. He is the recipient of numerous teaching awards and award nominations, including the Indiana University Trustees Teaching Award and the Kelley School MBA Teaching Excellence Award.
In addition to his successful academic and corporate careers, Fred provides strategic marketing management consulting services to internationally known management consulting firms and Fortune 500 corporations.
Fred holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
